Through the EPIC Economic Development Center, we drive economic mobility in under-resourced neighborhoods and connect individuals, families, educators, and employers to resources that create lasting economic and generational change.

Our Mission

EPIC Truth Community Development Corporation is a catalyst for connecting individuals, families, educators, and employers to life changing resources. Our goal is to better our community by empowering under-resourced youth, families, and justice-impacted individuals with tools and skills to gain financial freedom and empowerment, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship development, and reentry support. By doing so, we create sustainable pathways to economic mobility and generational transformation right where people live and lead.

Our Vision

We envision Philadelphia neighborhoods revitalized through economic opportunity—where low-income families build lasting wealth, youth launch confidently into career-driven training and sustainable careers, returning citizens reclaim purpose through Fair Chance opportunities, and local entrepreneurship drives community prosperity from within.

Our work integrates four core pillars, aligned with the City of Philadelphia’s priorities, to advance economic mobility, strengthen families, and build resilient communities.

Financial Empowerment

Expand access to banking, credit-building, and financial education so individuals and families can build wealth, improve financial stability, and make informed economic decisions.

Reentry Support

Provide justice-impacted individuals with workforce pathways, supportive services, and resources needed to successfully reintegrate and achieve long-term stability.

Workforce Readiness

Prepare youth and young adults for employment through job readiness training, skill development, and career exposure to secure employment, and advance into career pathways that lead to family-sustaining wages and long-term growth.

Entrepreneurship Development

Guide aspiring entrepreneurs in launching and growing sustainable businesses, increasing revenue, and contributing to local economic development and job creation.

Through our EPIC Economic Development Center, we deliver research-backed solutions to Philadelphia’s economic distress that result in measurable, lasting impact: wealth-building for families, career pathways for youth, second chances for returning citizens, and neighborhood-rooted enterprise.

At the same time, we recognize that economic mobility cannot occur without stability, access, and trust. That is why EPIC Truth Community Development Corporation also serves as a consistent, on-the-ground resource hub for the communities we serve. Through community engagement initiatives such as resource distribution events, community days, food and holiday giveaways, and family-centered outreach efforts, we meet immediate needs while building meaningful relationships.
